Terms of service

Last updated: 14 May 2026.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the TradeFlo+ platform — our mobile app, web product, and supporting services. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms.

2. Roles

TradeFlo+ is a payment platform connecting Australian homeowners with contractors performing residential trade work. We are not a party to the contract for work between you; that contract sits between the homeowner and the contractor and must satisfy any applicable building-contract obligations.

3. Funds handling

Payment processing is handled through Stripe when card payment is required. Full-job upfront funding is confirmed before work starts, then TradeFlo+ tracks milestone releases after approval and dispute-window checks. TradeFlo+ is a payment platform, not a bank, builder, insurer, legal adviser, or building contract. Release instructions use Stripe Connect after milestone approval or auto-release checks pass.

4. Fees

TradeFlo+ charges a capped percentage platform fee per job, split between the homeowner funding charge and the contractor's first payout. Current fee policy is published on the pricing page and is GST inclusive. Stripe processing, dispute, and chargeback provider costs are absorbed by TradeFlo+ under the current fee model; they are not added as a separate homeowner charge or contractor deduction. The homeowner platform fee is refundable only on a full refund before any contractor payout.

5. Disputes

Either party may raise a dispute on a milestone within the published dispute window after submission. We run a structured review on a fixed timeline. Decisions are recorded in the audit log. The Building & Plumbing Commission (which absorbed DBDRV's dispute-resolution function on 1 July 2025) and ultimately VCAT remain available for matters that escalate.

6. Acceptable use

You must use the platform only for genuine residential trade work. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. You must not attempt to circumvent the milestone payment flow or the dispute process.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, TradeFlo+'s liability for any claim arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes any non-excludable consumer guarantees.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time once any open jobs are settled. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms. Audit-log records are retained as required by Australian record-keeping rules.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app message at least 14 days before they take effect.
